[Le ] is used with masculine words. [ La] is used with feminine words. [ Les ] is used with Plural words. [ L' ] is used before a word that starts with a vowel.

I think you must have been referring to the 5th sentence ’Connaissez-vous Paris ?’and must have wondered there is ‘vous ‘ after the blank which is a pronoun .However I think ‘Connaissez vous Paris?’ - can also be written as Vous connaissez Paris?( Français famillier) .In that case after connaissez ,there is a noun- Paris ,hence good to use connaitre.

Madam in last question , he knows the song that is a particular thing he knows so why there is connaitre?

the song is a noun. and he doesn't know how to sing the song, he knows which song it is. That is why we will use connaitre.

Suchita has clearly explained ‘connaitre’ is to used to know a particular thing .in this case it is ‘song’.He knows this song.This song is a noun plus a thing he knows .
