This video was very special!! Listening while having the nice view of the streets made it so pleasant...and at the same time we could learn, that it is important to have fun exploring and to be patient and to tust our brain, that it will put all together it's own pace. Thank you for this wonderful video!❤

Love all your Videos! MORE MORE MORE!!! Your words were very encouraging too! My favorite thing I want to always remember is: "If you don't have anyone to speak French with don't worry. Just enjoy discovering the language and watch videos." I do a lot of passive learning. I have been playing video games in French for example.

Nice. Playing vidéo game in french is a good idea 💡

Heres how I learn French: hello everybody: First: Thanks to French Facile for all your videos. I wrote you a message 2 times. Hope for an answer at some point of time. FF starts the video with attending loads of comments from people, that many are somewhat able to understand French but cannot speak it. I agree totally with FF that to understand and comprehend the language entirely by listening absolutely comes first. I have incorporated the WRITING in that listening practice AND that have helped me to be able to read aloud everything after the video. Here's how I do it: 1) I listen at speed 0.75. 2) pause when needed, write the sentences down, AND 3) above each word in the sentence, I write down HOW the words are pronounced. The result is that I can read it almost perfectly. My French girlfriend from Grenoble say that I read perfect. My way of practice takes of course a long time pr. video, BUT definitely worth it because I actually learn to speak the language. For the language du fulle develop verbally one of course needs REAL LIFE speaking French, so that every bits of utterances becomes repeated and habituated in the everyday life in France. hence from next summer I will visit France on and off forward. And finally: Its of course completely to first learn FORMAL French, and keeping in mind that theres always either a lot of or some part of INFORMAL speaking within the same language, and thats the case for French. Dont worry about the informal speakings, because once I/you understand and speak the formal, it'll be much easier to understand the informal wordings way faster.

Thanks for this video. Im australian and am going to europe at the end of the year. I will be spending some time in Paris. I studied French for 4 years in high school, but never even got to a comversational level really. Since I finished uni Ive decided to start learning again. Ive been listening to English songs in french on my commute to burn the lyrics into my brain, even though I dont understand 90% of them. About a month in and I can recite most of the choruses by heart. As you said, exposure is 80% of learning a language.

Thank you, thank you!! I needed to hear this. I was starting to feel frustrated, but recently began watching your videos. I feel like your content has made a big impact on my ability to comprehend. I'm beginning to understand most of what I'm hearing (and reading, subtitles are great). I'm so happy to have found your vlog. Merci

This is why your videos are SO helpful! It is one thing to associate in the brain a visual signal (letters and words) with meanings, but it is, as you say, entirely different to associate a sound with a meaning. That's why the practice I get from your videos of associating sounds with meanings is so invaluable. Thank you thank you. And your speaking rate and pronunciation are perfect for me. Also, you speak with everyday French instead of textbook French so I learn everyday phrases like à de suite! instead of à tout de suite! or des fois instead of quelque fois. Your several videos regarding the mechanisms of language acquisition have really helped me. I really appreciate how you emphasize ASSOCIATIONS such as emotions and situations for burning language acquisition into the brain. Well done.

Salut again, Monsieur. I am thinking that it is best to keep the translations at the bottom of the screen but perhaps a better solution would be to close the gap between the French subscripts and the English subscripts? Sorry to bother you about this, but I absolutely love your channel and I know that if I stick with it, I will learn a lot from your channel!!🙏🏾

@FrenchFacile1212 күн бұрын
Voilà six ans à s’intéresser à une langue peut créer des résultats intéressants, contrairement à 6 jours. Merci pour votre commentaire très bien écrit.

That is absolutely incredible and so very useful video. Thank You for this unique analogy about discovering a new city. Intuitively I did the same for last couple of years -listening French language through the radio while driving every day even without understanding what they were talking about. Slowly learning a French grammar from different bloggers in KZfaq without a pressure. Now I see the difference. I can understand the subtleties 90 percent. Learning any language is a never ending process, so what s the point of hurrying . We just need to do our best. We have been living in Canada for 20 years in English-speaking province. My husband started learning English at age 50. And , being by nature absolutely not able to learn any language, he managed somehow and even started running his own business. My favourite slogan is: Everything is possible!
