Just cover the scions with a brown paper bag that's what I do and it works fine for me I'm getting a lot of success like that

I covered mine with Chick-fil-A and Wendy's bags. My neighbors call it the fast food tree 😂

Doc Farwell's Seal and Heal the blue grafting goop is great for covering grafts after your plastic. it seals over so no water gets in

amazing advice! i definitely started my grafting journey by watching youtube videos. then when i felt confident enough i grafted two hibiscus varieties together. hibiscus are extremely easy to graft! now i have grafted a loquat as well. i havent been successful with mango yet. but i recently tried a cleft graft with an extra cut in them so its more like a M instead of a V. im hoping that the extra cambium contact will let it catch. but we have been getting so much rain. we will see!

I try and do my side grafts on similar size branches, then once they take and I remove the branch above it. As the graft gets stronger I gradually trim the original branch little by little around the graft to make it where you can barely see the union. Also when I top an unknown rootstock that I'm graftng to, if it's a good scion, I'll graft it to an older tree. If it turns into a good variety I'll graft it back to rootstock and name it.

When he said he cleft grafts seedlings. What is the height of the graft? Th height of the graft from the soil? Does he leave leaves from the seedling below the cleft?

To get it from not rotten out cover the bark Graf with some tree seal
