For the mirroring part: There's a reflect tool (o). Select the shape, then alt + left click on the edge and confirm copy.

Every time I click the anchor point with the pen tool and click the anchor it morphs the circle and says “shape expanded” what am I doing wrong?

the moment I left clicked again on the first anchor point, it's being discontinued and if I click on it again and shift+ drag , it's creating another circle

This technique is a lot better than your other one with the rectangles. Question, when I copy, reflect and then press shift to drag; I notice it doesn't let me drag when I hold shift. Why is that?

Moving the pen tool over an anchor point gives me the (-) pen tool.

first unselect the shape, because pen tool deals with the anchor points of the selected shape, and if there is none selected, it will show the (*)asterisk (make new anchor point for a new shape)

when i do the one click on the anchor the circle changes shape to an oval like its jumping away from where I clicked

It's happening because the circle is selected and pen tool is deleting the anchor point. You first need to deselect the circle and then do it.

Hey Falhaind! At the bottom of the toolbar on the left side of the screen, add a stroke/outline to the shape and then select the fill colour, and set this to none :)

lmao the second half of this tut is way too complicated. Just make the half heart, duplicated and reflect it. Then to adjust the "curviness" or the peaks, just move either half left or right to overlap, then use the shape builder tool to join the two halfs when u get the shape you want
