Thank you for the wonderfully clear video/instructions! I have made three bracelets. The first I accidentally used 6.0 beads which still turned out great and obviously a tad chunkier. I absolutely needed a magnifying glass for the next two which were the 8.0 beads. I added 1/2 inch to my wrist measurement which was perfect as the bracelets roll nicely on and off.

Thank you for showing this! On the one hand it looks very easy, and I usually (or used to) pick up this stuff quickly enough. Right now, though, I am completely stymied. I see what you're doing, but my hands no longer want to play. I'm sticking with you, though. We're going to do this or die in the effort. My first few attempts were with dark green beads and dark green thread. Who did I think I was? I switched to colors of spectrum and white thread. Made a difference, but still taking my knocks. Each time I get a little further before I have to start again. Good thing I'm retired.

Hi Nasrin, the great thing about bead crochet is the weave/stitch allows for a little bit of flex. This allows for you to slide the bracelet over your wrist with some give. We have not made a bead crochet project with stretch cord. It could be possible but you may run into the it not hooking successfully with the crochet hook.

Just finished my first one. Love it! Do you know how many beads would be needed if using number 11 beads?
@FusionBeadsSea
@FusionBeadsSea 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Peggy, it will vary. Here is a great formula when using different sizes for bead crochet. The formula is a rough estimate of about how many you may need, as the beads are not always equal. Like in the case of size 11/0 it may be 54 - 60 beads approximately to equal 1” of 6 around. A rule of thumb is: desired rope length X number-around = inches of beads to string i.e. 7" bracelet X 6-around = string 42" of beads To figure the amount of beads needed: desired rope length X number-around = inches of beads to string then Inches of strung beads X number of beads per inch = number of beads needed then Number of beads needed ÷ beads per gram = grams of beads needed For example: In 11/0 seed beads a 9" rope X inches to string (6") = string 54" of beads 54" of strung beads X 18 beads per inch = 972 beads 972 beads÷ 110 beads per gram = 8.8 grams of beads Hope this helps!

I don’t see why you couldn’t. But less than six beads would be extremely cramped. And if you do several beads more, the tube would benefit from some sort of filler, or it would be squished flat quite easily.
