A lot of people have shown this calculation in the past. A very simple but major problem with this is you never know what is the bottom and no one can catch it.Hence it sounds good on paper, but this is not act possible because no one is able to predict or catch the bottom.

I had the same thought tbh. But still, we should not target the bottom... If we could buy around it, still this will work really well.

When to book profit on puts, you exit the position. At that stage your call is in the loss, your margin requirements will shoot as hedge with put gone. The long call or put will become nacked. If you hedge these you will be required to buy put at the same price you had sold. Hence there is no profit to invest. Only if you extra funds then only you can take fresh long position in the fallen market. Am I getting it correct. If you don't by hedge after profit booking from sold puts then only you can use that money to create fresh new long position but it would be naked and without hedge.
