You’ve said it yourself,the pentatonic scale.. not all the notes I played where from the F# pentatonic scale,but I basically just improvised over it..

There’s such thing as “Chord substitution” so there’s no one way to play any song.. 1 song could be played with 5 different progressions and none of them would be wrong.
