I'm glad I found your channel. I'm 58y/o and I've worked in healthcare for most of my life, but I'm ready to make this change and I hope I can find a remote job afterwards.

When I first saw this class live, 46:22 made me SO UNCOMFORTABLE. I felt like I had no right to call myself a software engineer. Let alone announce it to everyone! But here I am a year later, finishing up month 2 at my first full-time software engineer role. I now realize how important it was for me to manifest my dreams into reality. LEON IS RIGHT! I’m starting your program late, but I just want to say thank you for what you have done and have put together. This is an incredible display of activism. I’ve tried for years to jump back into code - I got my start in html on expage with a personal page/diary in the late 90s before blog domination took off. Back then I was dead set on learning frames, but instantly fell in love with everything I could accomplish with CSS. Thank you again for what you’re doing, Leon. I can’t wait to catch up with everyone else.

Developer Magic: on Mac command alt and down arrow and you get the reple going all down your list, or control alt down arrow on windows. The flashing repl means you can now type on each one of those lines. Command right arrow on Mac allows you to jump to the end of the line to add additional code.

Just starting and watching this video 3 months behind very good stuff. I have to say this is ( you Leon are ) what I have been searching for and the way you teach is really helpful. Iʻve been always searching for a “free” bootcamp and saying that they need to make them. had a set back, but im back and focused, i dont care if this takes me 1 year to complete

Class two: pushing through got stuck with some of the parts with the tags it showed up as red for some reason on vscode. Pretty aggravated about it. Love that Leon mentioned the mistborn trilogy I just happened to finish the third book onto the fourth. On another note, have so much home work to do for the next class. I will be on discord asking many questions, but it seems simple I think I'm just missing something here and there. I ended doing some things on my own for the five minutes, but when I tried to incorporate everything he said after it didn't sync. Deleted everything starting over.

Wow totally blew my mind with bringing back Neopets!! I never realized that I was actually "Coding" when I played that and created the page, shop, all those things, totally tripped me out just now haha crazy!! With Myspace I kinda realized it, and when you asked the question that's the answer I gave, but once you said Neopets, My mind snapped to All I did with the pages there. Crazy to think you've been doing something since a kid, just never had the proper person telling you what you were actually doing!!
