I know I am a couple of years late but I worked out how much it would cost in Palmerston North (a small city in New Zealand) to buy that food and it was more than $60!! (in NZ money) I love Italy! :)

Grazie! Milan tends to be the most expensive city Italy when it comes to housing especially... food is still a bit more expensive than average but still cheaper than the US!

Great vlog - i appreciate being able to switch to Italian subtitles, so if I cheat by reading instead of just listening, I’m still learning. Prices in Milan are less than 1/3 of what they’d charge in a big US city … and I’m sure the food there is much better. Sono un po’ gelosa! Ieri a pranzo uno spritz costava $18 dollari senza spuntini. La pasta costava $30 dollari e sia il vino che la grappa avrebbero aggiunto altri $30 dollari. Il caffè sarebbe un extra di 5 + 8,30 di tasse (10%) sul cibo del ristorante. La mancia per il cameriere è di altri 17 dollari (20%). Una doppia pallina di gelato in un cono costerebbe circa 10-15 dollari in più. Questo semplice pranzo costerebbe oltre 100 dollari a persona nel centro di Washington.

Ciao Stefano, qui in germania un spritz costa piú o meno 6,5 Euro. Una Spagetti "simplici" come aglio e olio sono 8,5 Euro.

Keep it up, love these!! When the waiter comes over and you say: ci siamo... the translation says: Here we go! I'm curious, is that common to say and are there other translations you can think of that sound more natural in English? Is it a playful phrase like, "Let's do this" or more neutral like "we're here, let's get started"? Grazie!!

Ciao! “Ci siamo” actually means “we’re ready” and I thought I translated it that way. I’ll take a look. Anyway “we’re ready (to order)” is the closest translation :)

Ciaooo!! Grazie mille 😍 i profiteroles sono dei “cream-filled choux”. Di solito con la crema dentro e cioccolato fuori. Questo è un gusto particolare che si trova in questa gelateria ed è una crema morbida al cioccolato con pezzi di “choux”.

Il bis significa semplicemente fare qualcosa di nuovo. Di solito si usa al teatro o ai concerti quando gli spettatori vogliono che un cantante canti di nuovo una canzone o gli attori si esibiscano di nuovo. Molto spesso si usa anche con il cibo. Dire “voglio fare il bis” significa voler mangiare un altro piatto di quello che hai appena mangiato
