will this game be limited to beginner level/n5 Japanese?

That's definitely a question for the developer :) They are pretty active on the discord (linked on the game's Steam page, see description).

Hey! I'm the developer! The plan is to not limit this, for now there's N5 content + around 50 N4 Kanji. My idea would be to add more official content as I go. But in any case, I plan to add Anki/Excel uploading, so player can add their own concepts. Ultimately the game could be used for learning other languages too. But of course, officially only Japanese is supported.
