@ 10:30 I got a single torp hit for about 45k damage, "detonation on a BB". Super rare!!!!!!! Never seen it!
Without that I would have had a pathetic 30k score BUT. I still would have served my team very well! Correct?
There's a-lot of information available that gets overlooked like when I shot at Scharnhorst and then immediately went non-detect: "proving that the flank was clear" and I was freed to not defend it. The following "make a wish torps" at Scharnhorst was also for the DD as that was where he could have been blanketed by the island (referencing my going non-detect), he was playing front for him/them but had moved on. Next torps were sent to one side to present a deception to pin Scharnhorst behind the island out of DD torps fear from that side while I went to spot and torp from the other side.
I usually get way over 100 shell hits, this was an odd game in that manner.
Olands guns can defeat a Benson if I use a heal during the brawl (and he doesn't smoke up lol).
To each their own strengths, Olands main strengths is that it can do everything well and thereby is very adaptive to any and all matchmaking (so long as the player is too). A multi-trick pony for certain!
Olands best/strongest trick is kite fighting because it's so dodgy/hard to hit.
Want to see more about Oland? Go to my Wow playlists, see the scripts too, I do my best to help.
There's other "DDs" there too.
That poor Oster, I've been there! He was doing nothing wrong but just got caught via my spotting him at his most inopportune moment (with reverse momentum lol): Got Blapped!
It happens! His previous plays were proper, I had determined that he was likely a strong player, he was definitely conniving. Measure your enemies too: Right? Yep!
There was no need to push further forward than I did: the game wasn't being lost and I was providing a spotting viewpoint and strong torp placements for my team. Why Push more? Oland is not a brawler and there was a continual radar threat too. DDs become very strong later in the game: live to exercise that threshold!
Read the game as it plays out, there's much that you can miss/not see if you're not paying close attention to what it's telling you.
Cheers:
