Shalom and thank you. My pronunciation is of modern Hebrew with a Sephardic “tint”. Yes, many Israelites sound this way. Keep in mind that the Hebrew here is BIBLICAL Hebrew while spoken/conversational Hebrew is Modern Hebrew (similar to Latin vs English) 😉

Why Ayin + Kamatz makes the sound "o" (o-n/YEE)? I know ayin is silence there, but I though it would be the sound of the kamatz that we pronounce.
