Butterfly Spanish

Күн бұрын

I will teach you the difference between Spanish words that look the same and sound the same but have different meanings. Their difference in meaning is due to the accent mark in Spanish -- “acento” or “tilde”. See these words: mi & mí, tu & tú, el & él, si & sí, se & sé, mas & más, te & té, and de & dé. There are two groups here. One with the accent Spanish mark and the group without an accent mark. Even though each pair of Spanish words looks the same and sounds the same, it is not. Each word has its own meaning and function. In this video, I am going to teach you how to identify their difference, when to put an accent mark, and how to use each Spanish word correctly. The scientific Spanish term for these words are “diacrítico” which, in real life Spanish, means that you need to add an accent mark to one word to differentiate it from the other. This lesson is important to improve your Spanish and to learn more advanced Spanish. More importantly, this lesson is super important if you are interested in perfecting your written Spanish. Many native speakers have problems deciding whether or not a word has an accent mark. Well, this video will make you better at it and will probably put you above many native speakers' written skills. Even more, I will teach you some quick Spanish language facts that will help you learn and improve your Spanish as a whole. Yes, these little bites of Spanish are the bricks to build your Spanish studies pyramid. These Spanish words are simple but important, basic but useful, short but meaningful. Watch my video, and freely learn Spanish with me Ana, at Butterfly Spanish.
REMINDER! Do not forget to sign up to get my newsletter. In my previous newsletters I have been covering cultural and linguistic topics related to Spanish. The last one was about first names, last names and nicknames in the Hispanic society. In the second last we covered top tips and tricks to improve your Spanish pronunciation. Do not miss out on the next one.
You can sign up to get my newsletters through my website: www.butterflys...

How about que? It means what and that. Spanish is very confusing. I thought I was getting somewhere because I thought that "I am" was soy or estoy and "I have" was tengo. So I was saying soy frio and estoy hambre just to find out it's tengo hambre and tengo frio. Don't forget como, it means why and as. I don't know if I'll ever learn enough to speak.

I suppose you wanted to say: "I love your lessons more and more every time "In Spanish the correct form is: "Amo tus lecciones más y más cada VEZ" or better; "Amo tus lecciones cada vez más" In this case "time" is translated "vez" not "tiempo" and when something you like a lot you use "(yo) amo" or "me encanta"

I don't know much spanish, and it seems like you know more than me but I think instead of entiendo you maybe meant to put entender. Entender means understand and entiendo means i see. correct me if I am wrong.
@robertmiller341
@robertmiller341 4 жыл бұрын
@@taylordozhier3481 I understand your confusion. Just like English when we say "I see" in certain context it means I understand and it's the same in Spanish if you say "ya veo" (literal translation "now I see") or you can use "entiendo" (literal translation "I understand. "Entender" is the infinitive for of the word that literally means "to understand" and "ver = to see". little word of advice if you're just starting out learning the language try to focus on listening and training your ears to hear the sounds. Check out a website site and youtube channel called mimic method.
