Speak to Thai people in Thai You will be different from other tourists. Thai people will feel that you are close to them. And he doesn't take the effort to adjust to you. You will be treated and welcomed by special Thais than other tourists. because they feel that you are one with them And the more often you say positive words to him. You will be treated and welcomed as if you were one of their family members.

I have the same experience! I know few words, I can order food or drinks and sometimes I ask "sabaidee mai krap?" and I set the mood friendly with this :-) It works! 🙏

Phrase you have said "Mai Pen Lai Ka/Klub" means a lot for example "I'm OK" "I pained but I've been through a lot" "That's enough" "You feel not ok but you have to be ok" Our traditional have to keep the emotion to each other to make them feel us polite. Just got back to Lisbon and the numbers were soo useful 😅 all the hotel guys loved that I could do big room numbers in Thai like 7026 and it was especially worth it to see other guests struggling in English then giving me the what the hell did he just say look.
