I had to restring a bracelet; silver beads on elastic like this pattern. I didn't have a clue, I didn't even know the pattern had a name... I stumbled blindly around on You Tube...I found out it was called Right Angle Weave. After many videos and lots of frustration I found your video....Hallelujah!!!!! I easily completed the bracelet stopping and starting your very clear instructions and I can now return it to my (hopefully very impressed!) customer with the knowledge that I have learnt something new.. Thank you..

Excellent redo-the clock face makes sense to me. Having to decide whether I need to go left or right, never straight, and not back into old beadwork also is helping my brain to figure out this stitch. It seems as though I do fairly well with a straight line of RAW-it's trying to add on other rows that sends my head spinning! So, thanks Leah, for another very helpful video which will give me a good reason to try this stitch again!!

A couple years ago I found a RAW necklace and at the bottom it formed a triangle, I think, and then went back up the other side of the necklace. I can’t find one.

Hi Lea, I learned a lot from this video. I want to learn how to make a striped RAW bracelet. Do you have a video? Louis
@leahwyckoff4791
@leahwyckoff4791 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Louis! If you mean just changing the colors of the beads so it gives you the look of a stripe going down the middle? If so, then the most video we have on that at this time is when I show in the above video adding in a second color.
@Madebyluigi
@Madebyluigi 3 жыл бұрын
@@leahwyckoff4791 more like a diagonal stripe. 2 colors alternating stripes. I actually learned how to do it with 2 needles RAW. It worked. And I made 2 bracelets.

I've done RAW, but recently came across instructions for "one-drop right angle weave." Does anyone know what that is and where there might be a KZfaq video tutorial for it?
@leahwyckoff4791
@leahwyckoff4791 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there... I've never heard of "one drop right angle weave" - the only thing I can think of is perhaps they took it upon themselves to give ladder stitch a new (but inaccurate) name? Because ladder stitch has some similarities at times to RAW and you CAN chain one bead to one bead and so on... Would love if you could give any more info on what you saw. :-)

@@leahwyckoff4791 Hi, Leah. Thanks for your response. I saw the instruction for "one-drop right angle weave" in the book TWO STITCHES by Rachel Nelson-Smith. The name of the necklace design/project is Trispire Necklace. The closure is really cool. In the "Look Inside" section on Amazon, you can see photos of it after page 23 (look at the photo in the lower-left quadrant), and also after page 41. www.amazon.com/Two-Stitches-Jewelry-Projects-Inspirations/dp/1454708735#reader_1454708735 The instruction in question appears in the screen shot after page 41, in the middle of the page ["Figure 6 Work a base of one-drop right angle weave..."] Close-ups are 3 and 4 pages from the bottom of the preview pages. After an unsuccessful search for a definition of "one-drop" RAW, I have concluded that the author must mean one-bead-per-side for each unit of RAW. That's what the illustration accompanying the instruction looks like. It's the reference to "drop" in the name that is confusing me. But my guess could be wrong. I'm open to suggestions! :-)
