Carol, I sure understand taking care of a parent. I took care of my dad at home until he passed a year ago. He had lung cancer. Like you, I didn't want him in skilled nursing. My husband is an RN and hospice came twice a week. Anyway, these are so beautiful, you really inspire me!!!

I also had to retire early and still have to supplement my income. Sometimes we don't realize there are others out there that have very similar situations. I'm inspired by you! Such inspiration! I started my channel but then my son passed in 2016 and I stopped doing everything. I started it up again and then my computer died so until I get it fixed I've been working on things but without the videos it's hard to build a channel. Anyway I'll be using your applique method on my journals and I have tons of the ribbon so I'll be making roses! Thank you EDIT: Just came back to say I made 6 roses, so quick and easy! I was searching for ideas for ribbon and fabric and came across your video, love what you are doing but the view would have been better if the camera was back a little to where your hands were and not so close to the table. As far as you camera placement....I think a bit closer is great. But I don't think you should pick things up and raise them closer to the camera. It's out of focus at times, and out of frame. Just my opinion.
