it's been 11 or 12 years since I've done one-stroke with you, Donna, and I got pretty good at it back then, so I thought I could just go right back and be good again. A little humble pie hasn't hurt me so far. You've really gotten good, and you were great back then. I think I'll get this tulip done if I practice a 1000 more times, lol, but watching you paint it is really fun anyway. Merry Christmas to you and yours. 🎄🎁

oh donna you sure did challenge me ,just when i thought i had painting down pat this proved me wrong ,ive been painting with you since your beginning and plan on always painting ,ill probably share it to the group but i think i need to watercolor my back ground used white cardstock 140 lb i love you so much and thank you for humbeling me today

For the vase, did you use grey because the paper was grey? Am trying to learn to paint clear jars n vases.

Yes, a clear glass would allow the background color to show but with a slight shadow.

welp, tonight my tulip has gotten quite fat from me using the background color to paint out all the ugly mistakes around the outline. yes, my tulip hasn't missed any meals.
