Today we talk about the basic rules and how a few turns would look in this board game. These rules are very similar to the other three board games in the adventure series so if you are looking to learn how to play Wrath of Asharadalon, Castle Ravenloft, or Legend of Drizzt you can use this video.

Thank you for getting straight to the point. Tried to watch other people's videos and they just go on and on about the game in about why they play it, and read the damn cards when I can just pull out the cards, AND they blabber on about other irrelevant BS. I like how you show about two seconds of the card so you can stop read. Again thank you for sticking to the point and just showing how to play. A+++++.

Thanks for the video! Just bought this game, arrives in a few days.... can't wait to play! Looks epicccc, Never played anything like this before, hoping to get into D&D. I bought the starter set and essentials kit but it was very difficult to learn and didn't have enough people to play with. Hoping that I can play this with some family and friends to get them into adventure games and hopefully D&D once we get the hang of things!

wife and I really enjoyed this video very much. PLEASE do more for this game and for the others in the D&D Adventure System Board games. It was quick, but very helpful.... would just love to see a more in depth series by you for this amazing game system. Thank you so much for sharing. Very helpful and enjoyable to watch. One thing I forgot to do guys: When I started my turn adjacent to the Trogdolyte, I should have gained disadvantage due to its special ability. This would have not really mattered, because when I added advantage with my daily power they would have canceled each other out. One thing I am also unsure about regarding the daily power "Sweeping Attack" The way it reads it almost sounds like I should roll my attacks for all adjacent monsters and THEN grant disadvantage to somebody on my tile. To me it seems like the way I did it in the video could also be correct. What do you guys think?

When I got Temple of Elemental Evil in the mail it was missing one of the figures. Got any advice on what I should do to get a replacement figure?

Other doubt, when you pass over a trap and deactivate it. Are you able to still moving? I mean I have 5 speed, I consume 2 to move up to the trap, roll a dice and deactivate it (or maybe not), am I able to use the rest of the speed (3 squares) to still moving?

Reading the rules it says "move and perform one of the following actions: move, attack, disable a trap, other" Does it means that I have to move before attack, right? or am I able to attack and then move? I understand that the sequence is move and then attack, but I'm newbie on this game

Hey there I haven't played this in a while but I do believe you can perform the actions in any order, so you would be able to attack and then move!

Are you able to have more that one advantage token? Are they cumulative? I know one disadvantage token cancel an advantage token but my question is if I'm able to have more than one advantage token (or more than one disadvantage token)

I believe you can only have one advantage or disadvantage token at a time!

Can you do 2 attacks? Or make 1 move before or after a attack...

+Lexke81 You can never do two attacks in a turn unless you have a specific item/power/etc that states that you can. Usually it will say something like "grants your character another attack action". Some powers will also allow you to attack multiple adjacent enemies or multiple enemies on a tile but this is still counted as ONE attack action. As far as your actions every turn you can move and attack in whatever order you would like ALWAYS! Hope this helps!

+Chief Live Gaming VERY! THNX! What about exactly regarding the villain-fase. For example: my friend draws a monster, will the monster also attacks me in my turn? Or wil it not because I do not 'control' the monster? I did read at the rule-book that the same monster will attack me when I draw a similar monster...or?

+Lexke81 This I also had trouble with when I first started. So when your friend draws a monster on their turn, they "control" the monster. If they have multiple monsters that's fine, they just activate in the order they were drawn. If you ever draw a monster you already control, you discard it and get a different one. HOWEVER if you control a goblin and your friend controls a goblin they BOTH activate at the same time! Whenever one goblin would activate it triggers the other one (or two or three etc) also. As far as how monsters act: It usually says something like "moves adjacent to closest player and attacks with scratching death claw of putrid acid". This does mean that your friends monster can attack you, if you are the closest adjacent player to it when it activates. We always try to have our fighter explore in front just in case this happens! Cheers!

2:25 Because this is for people learning the game, you should read things that are important... like the sequence of play card. Your pacing is otherwise good. We don't need all of the details on the character cards, but we do need the rules.
