Such a well put together explanation video of AFF & perfect narration of it! Well done! Made me want to get back into it again after a long lull. I loved it & miss it. This video convinced me what I'm missing out on. I'm not living my life to the fullest & missing out. This is living! Skydiving is living! You won't understand that until you jump AFF! Thanks so much for a perfect video & being a positive influence on the sport.

Great video! I did a harnessed jump last month, and am doing ground school and first jump in two days. This is incredibly helpful -- no clue a skydiver had so much control over direction, turns, etc. in freefall. But with that first harnessed jump I had no sense of "falling" -- it was more like riding a motorcycle at 120 mph. Wonderful sport!!

I'm taking the AFF course this Monday May 14th in Sebastian, Florida and the funny thing is that I've watched this video about 20 times in the last 3 months trying to get ready for it. Truth is before you do your AFF course do a Tandem and learn everything to do with SKYDIVING, glossary, vocabulary, lingo, malfunctions, emergency procedures, parachutes parts and their functions, toggles, risers, slider, pilot chute, cutaway, reserve, watch hundreds of skydiving videos and analyze their form and technique, study the USPA A license Exam and Flashcards and learn and memorize everything you can about this sport. It's a good head start. You won't regret it. That being said this video is no doubt my TO GO video anytime I forget something and is clearly the best video on the internet regarding the AFF course since it's explained down to the bone. Thanks for getting me so prepared!!!

What a great looking school you guys have there, your students all did very well considering what stages the were only up to... One thing I always really enforce on my students is altitude awareness, even though I only get a few jumps in every few weeks or so these days, I hate been lucky with my skydiving career getting certified at 17, and 20 years later still loving every chance I can get to jump, but I am still pretty much flying every day at the gliding school I'm a CFI at, but even in its vastly different yet similar characteristics of the two sports, I still find it absolutely imperative that my students remain altitude aware of their surroundings at all times, something I can tell you really enforce to become a habit for your students. Great video for those who are thinking about getting certified, or curious, you covered all areas pretty well for all to understand... Blue skies my friends :)

Dylan spiers good on ya bud, and trust me, if you weren’t nervous, I’d be worried! 15 years of BASE jumping and I felt sick often at launch, it’s only natural champ, but this is why you don’t let mates try and give you tips on what to do, you save your coin, hang out at the DZ as often as you can, meet people, talk to people, get to know the veterans and high numbers jumpers mate, be a part of the scene so when you’re ready to start your course you will feel more at home. I don’t jump as often anymore, Paragliging takes up a lot of my time teaching and flying, but I’m glad I did my AFF when I did, and was lucky enough to gain numbers pretty quickly and end up behind the lens as I quite rapidly climbed through my licensing. You will be fine mate. I’ll get my IT guy to message you when he can from out schools account, we mix it up a bit and he’s a skydiver and BASE jumper also, so he’s a good person to chat too, and honestly, speak to as many people as you can and address any fears or nerves mate, but you’re not going to have time to be nervous once you start, you will be wanting to be back in that plane as soon as you can haha Well done young fella 👊🏼

Skydive Vibes We plan on learning balance, stability, control and all the basics at Flyaway Indoor Skydiving in Pigeon Forge Tennessee throughout the winter. Here in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, we have skydiving. I'm watching every video here on KZfaq to learn. I've paid quite a lot of attention to the jumps that are titled Fails because they teach you what mistakes are being made.

Because Ifly Indoor Skydiving in Pigeon Forge Tennessee is 4 h 27 min (254.9 mi) away, I plan on booking 3-4 hours of tunnel time and staying in a nearby hotel for 2-3 days. It's my goal throughout the winter to overcome my mistakes and any bad habits that I may develop. One advantage of living in the south is, winters are short and spring comes sooner. Quite often during the winter months, we have a lot of nice warm days so there's always a good chance of achieving my AFF Course and training before summer comes around in April-May

Wow, I see that the activities in freefall during the AFF course have changed a bit in the 32 years since I did it. The hand signals for communication in freefall are more numerous than what I was taught. Progress, I guess!

Super informative, and it looks like a lot of fun! But I'll stick with paragliding for now, I like checking my wing before overhead before being in the air :D

I’ve been considering doing the AFF course in New Zealand ever since doing a tandem in Sydney back in dec 2017. But i’ve been super nervous/ excited to do it, after watching this my nerves have really subsided.
