When a motorcycle's lever is pulled entirely towards you(full clutch), there is no direct link between the engine and the drive chain so no power can pass from the engine to the drive chain and wheels. With the lever entirely released, there is full contact between the engine and the drive chain via the clutch plate, which means that the engine can apply power directly to the drive chain. However, it is possible to have the clutch plate partially engaged, allowing the clutch to slip. As a result, only a fraction of the power from the engine reaches the driveshaft which is commonly known as Half clutch. This can be helpful in uphill starts to prevent the bike from rolling back or a full release may choke the engine hence the engine start will die.

no, if u catch up the previous speed after releasing brake(during riding,to avoid pothole, or in turning etc). but, must use in traffic ,after apply rear brake, press clutch and change to 1st gear in traffic(red signal) and throttle up soon aftr green signal

Hi Sir, great video. I am a learner and it's been 2 months I'm riding Pulsar 150 cc . My issue is i don't remember in which gear I'm riding the bike and there is no gear indicator position in pulsar 150 cc old model. I know that every gear has some speed limit like 1St gear : max 10-15 kmph , 2nd gear : max 20-25 kmph and so on. But my main issue is i don't remember in which gear I am and I don't properly down shift my gear. Example: if any one suddenly comes in front if I am in speed I know we have to apply brake and downshift but when I downshift i don't remember which gear I am and when the road gets clear suddenly the bike moves ahead with a jerk which means i am in wrong gear for the specific speed. Can you make video how to smoothly move ahead after downshift and how to remember the gear position. Today suddenly one vehicle came in front of me i applied brake and did some downshift by when I wanted to move ahead the bike suddenly stopped in the middle of the road which is a dangerous situation and I was on main busy road luckily no was was behind me just a car was at a distance and he just horned ...

Hello brother I'm here to help you Your bike stopped in the middle of road bcz you were in a higher gear. There is no need to memorize the gear. All you need to do is practice more and more. You can determine whether to upshift or downshift by hearing the engine sound only. If your bike starts giving Jerks that means you need to downshift When your engine is in higher RPM and is too noisy it means you have to upshift. Mechanical tech sir... Jab bhi agar slow down karna ho toh (during ride)...I always use clutch (full press) than again release it slowly with slow acceleration.( It makes Riding very smooth) Is it bad or good ??? Am I destroying my bike's clutch plates ??? Kripya answer dijiyega. 🙏🙏🙏

These days GTT allow to move bike when it is in 5-4 gear, without throttle.

@meditation music आप भीडभाड में 1या2 गियर लगाइए ...हाफ क्लच् से गियर बक्स् खराब हो सकता है … 1नं गियर और ब्रेक का प्रयोग कीजिये...यदि भीडभाड ज्यादा हो गई तो गाडी slow करना होगा और engine बन्द हो सकता है ...इसके लिये full clause के साथ दोनो ब्रेक कीजिये और फिर से गाडी को चालू कीजिये!! 👍️👍️

Jitna gear required he utni p rakh ke gadi chalao bhid bhad area pe v , half clutch ka use kabhi nehi zarurat he, haan yeh kuch time experience k baad hoga, half clutch ka use sirf initial momentum pe hota he gear shifting k waqt. 60-80 किलोमीटर/घंटे की रफ्तार पर आधी क्लच ही दबाई जाती है, उस रफ्तार पर पूरी तरह क्लच को दबाने पर गाड़ी फ्री होकर अनियंत्रित हो सकती है! हां पर आधी क्लच को दबाने के बाद धीरे धीरे छोड़ना चाहिए

As u said and showed that when i am not giving throttle but want to keep the speed smoothly... I can press clutch full..and stay... But many people says this is how clutch plate burn fast..and my bike also clutch plate burnt fast for this reason...

Mera splendor plus "90 "km milage deti hai long riding me. Engine running 1Lakh km up. "Clach Plate" avi tak change nehi kiya. Engine work "NO".. avi tak engine khola nehi. Engine oil change per 5000 km. kavi kavi toh vul vi jata hu change karna. NO engine weekness. Engine work still SOLID. matlab ekdom brand new jaisi hai.

Mein yahi sab points follow karta hu.. And bahut dhyan rakhta hu ki clutch bike ka dhang se engage and disengage Karu. Half clutch sirf wahi use karta hu jaha jarurat hai bas.. Bahut jaada farak padta hai usse bike ki performance pe and definitely clutch plates pe.. 1.80 lakhs kms chala liya hai apni classic 350. Aaj tak kabhi uske clutch plates mein koi problem nahi ayi. 💪🙂
