I usually sleep hugging something and my feet are wrapped up in the blanket... it just makes me feel safe

I sleep in all those positions... so I basically just flop around in bed

my sleeping position looks more like I'm being posed by a demon and trying to climb the wall. I always end up with my feet up against the wall like I'm stretching or something and sometimes I wake up with my feet on my pillow. or just on my side.

I'm usually in the fetal position, and I'm VERY confident, I just like being snug, and warm, and it feels better to hug your pet in that position.

I find it uncomfortable and my legs would rather be stretched out, so, even if I did fall asleep curled up in a ball, more then likely, in the morning I'd be all over my bed. Can you please provide the sources of your information, otherwise i'm sorry to say I can't call this anything but unproven and unverifiable data. I don't listen to data like that as it can often be false or misleading.

I sleep in the first position when it's hot in the summer and I sleep in the fetal position when it's cold in the summer. In comfortable weather, I sleep on either side. But when I have insomnia, forget it! I'm all over the bed in all kinds of positions.

When I am cold or something I am on the side curled up. Usually though I am on the side or face down with one of my feet (depending on the side my head is facing) on the corresponding side.

actually, our bodies (and the bodies of animals) sleep in positions more heavily influenced by temperature and maintaining homeostasis while not conscious. during the summer you're more likely to spread out while in the winter you curl up. that's where the saying "curl up by the fireplace" comes from because by making yourself smaller you lessen surface area in which heat can be lost to a colder atmosphere and when spread out, you can release heat inside your body from the extra surface area.

I fall asleep on my side, I wake up on my stomach most of the time. I will have my hands underneath my chest directly over where my heart is, almost like I'm guarding it when I'm on my stomach. When I wake up on my side (which is fairly rare) my arms are outstretched and my hands between my knees. I think that's hereditary or something. My father does it, and I've noticed my niece do it.
