Our new research "Learnable Triangulation of Human Pose".
We present two novel solutions for multi-view 3D human pose estimation based on new learnable triangulation methods that combine 3D information from multiple 2D views.
The first (baseline) solution is a basic differentiable algebraic triangulation with an addition of confidence weights estimated from the input images. The second, more complex, solution is based on volumetric aggregation of 2D feature maps from the 2D backbone followed by refinement via 3D convolutions that produce final 3D joint heatmaps.
Crucially, both of the approaches are end-to-end differentiable, which allows us to directly optimize the target metric. We demonstrate transferability of the solutions across datasets and considerably improve the multi-view state of the art on the Human3.6M dataset.

Nice work guys. Especially like the fact that there isn't as much joint jitter in your method compared to many of the other existing ones. I'll make myself a multi-camera rig and try it out.

Does your model work in real time? For example if I use a camera with 30 fps do I get 3D poses for the given image until next image is shot given that I use decent computationl power?

why do I always see these academic mocap solutions but nobody ever releases a final usable product?

What kind of product are you looking for? There must be lots, the academics just make the tech, somebody else usually sells it, if they pick it up. Maybe they know some good tech: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qdOaa8xixMXGnaM.html :) (yes i know it's with markers, but still impressive)

It looks like model is capable of only one person 3D estimation. Does it work with multiple people?

Yaroslav Smolin you’re totally right. Now it only works with single person. But it can easily generalized to multi-person setting

Animador de Simulaciones en 3D, thank you! We tested our method on public datasets CMU Panoptic and Human3.6M. I think you can find information about cameras they used in their papers or websites.
