Makes me feel like I am there looking over your shoulder and explained in a way that makes sense to me where others have failed. That's why Paul is one of only two channels that I subscribe to on Patreon. Stay safe and happy holidays to you and all who watch this channel.

Along because of.veiwing angles or learning differences but that's why we have. Comment sections so others can fill in the parts that are to difficult to teach in one episode. People hear. Have always helped me in the Comments and it's made me a much better for it. This is a great community and I thank you all and especially all the work and time you spent building it

Messed with this once so far, believe that the input voltage were about 15Vdc and an 555 pwm at about 70kHz, something in my mind told me that I should check the output voltage because of the capacitor.... 35V running at 70Vdc. It didn't blow up at least. 🤣 But I guess the inductor were too small because it had almost no output current.

as long as im subscribed to Paul's channel iv never seen him use a script. "WHAT YA SE/HEAR IS WHAT YA GET!!" no bull-sh*t, no crappy info, and definitely no bad continent. He's Just a Guy Who Make's Awesome Video's. : ) & hope i hope he makes many more!!! P.S. iv created a folder in my favorites called Paul's boost converter videos. & i'm saving these one's into it because i'm going to make it( but maybe only up to 30/40 volts. instead of the 100 plus ) so i looking forward to the rest of the vid's in this project!! : ) OH and i finally got my self an anti-static work top Matt. I'v always forgot to buy one when even buying parts ETC. but had my eye on the same one you use for ages & it came dis-morning, i'm well happy with it. AND I FIXED THE VOLUME PROBLEM I HAD WITH MY LAPTOP FROM SPILLING CHAMPAGNE ON IT THE NIGHT YOU REACHED THE 100K SUB's BLIND ME DID SEE THAT THERE WAS SEPARATE VOLUME BUTTONS OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE KEYBOARD THAT WERE STUCK WITH CRAP & DIRT FROM THE LIQUID SPILLING ON IT. (I MEAN IT's KINDA YOUR FAULT PAUL FOR HAVING SUCH AN AWESOME CHANNEL & GETTING TO THE !00K {JUST KIDDING} )) SO HAPPY ITS FIXED NOW COZ I CAN WATCH FULL SCREEN NOW AGAIN. YOU WOULD BELIEVE WHAT I HAD TO SET UP JUST TO KEEP THE SOUND ON WHEN WATCHING STUFF!! : ). anyway cant wait for the boost converter video!! : )

tripling or quadrupling voltage is the easy no problem part should expect to do that easy, having enough amps for it to be use for anything is the hard part. I would exspect you to hit the voltage goal from the get-go unless your testing parts you don't plan to use.

Yes, as long as you don't need like single hertz precision.
@takix2007
@takix2007 3 жыл бұрын
I'll have to think and tinker about it, to find out which pin to provide with the V.out (or some bridge-divided multiple thereof to not harm the 555), and have another look at the 555's datasheet. In PWM circuits, pins 2 and 6 (trigger and threshold) are connected to the same node (in the middle of the RC oscillator); maybe one of these two would be of 1ny help? Or maybe on pin 5 (control)?
