I wish you would bring out a lesson with Supernatural. For example, Dream A Little Dream of Me. Supernatural: Season 3, Episode 10. Where Dean is talking to his identical self. He uses a lot of connected speech there, which would be an excellent lesson for us =)

I think I'm an upper-intermediate or I don't know but I can have good conversations and be myself, And I no longer rely on subtitles my ears already got familiar to the English language and feel comfortable with it, So what I do is I watch lots of movies, series and I listen to music to improve my English so for example If I see an expressions in English which I can easily spot an expression even if I don't know it, I repeat it and use it. Remember that immersion in a language is key so as long as you hear the same word over and over again you'll remember it, That's why listening is very important

I'm sure you can build a strong "passive" vocab by only watching/listening/reading.
