O verbo "Ficar" é muito usado por nós. Ficar em casa Ficar mal/bem Ficar a ver navios Ficar sem gasolina etc.

É curioso notar que em português brasileiro o verbo "saber" nunca assume o significado de "taste good / bad". Interessante essa acepção para "saber".

Não vem de saber (to know/knowledge), vem de sabor (taste/flavour)

O video está muito util. O sete verbo mais importante é "querer". Não pode obter nada se não sabe user este verbo. Eu uso poder para "may" e conseguir para expressar "ability." Eu consigo reparar esta maquina. Estou correto?

Olá Judith! Não é a mesma coisa... Fazer um bolo is used if you want to say "Hoje vou fazer um bolo!" - "Today I'm going to bake a cake!". "O bolo demora 1h a cozer."/"Vou cozer o bolo por uma hora". Cozer is used to refer to the time the cake takes to be fully baked. Espero ter ajudado!

Olá Paul! The verb to bake in Portuguese is split between, fazer um bolo (for baking sweets), fazer pão (to bake bread) and assar (to bake other things like meat, fish, or veggies). The verb "cozer" is more used as in "to cook something in water, to boil" so not used for things you make in the oven usually.

@@kingsandannie the verb cozer is tricky. We use it a lot also for the time something takes to be cooked. So you can use it to say "O pão demora 30 minutos a cozer"

Ela nunca está satisfeita com os meus presentes. Ele é doente- Ele não bate bem da bola, ele é doido, maluco, não tem juízo,. A doença dele não tem cura- Ele precisa de ir ao psiquiatra todas as semanas. Ele está doente- É temporário- De aqui a uma semana vai recuperar-se da sua doença. Eu tenho muita fome- Neste caso podemos parafrasear a frase com o verbo estar " Eu estou cheio de fome, vou comer uma sandes de queixo". Posso fazer-te uma pergunta- Com certeza absoluta que podemos dizer " Posso perguntar-te uma coisa? Sabeis que mais- Típica frase que uso com muita frequência.

Olá! Assar is to roast meat/vegetables/fish in the oven. To bake any type of cake or sweets we say - fazer bolos. To pack is "fazer a mala". Arrumar is "to tidy up". They are not synonyms in European Portuguese. Hope this helps!
