Paul Reuben's is a master of master painters, his paintings of Jesus Christ & depiction of Christianity is just immaculately divine. He must have been inspired by God when he put paint to canvas. I was so inspired by his masterpieces.

David Garde In what ways did Rubens self-fashion himself? In other words, how did he use his art, education, wealth, and collecting practices to construct his desired identity?

I'm from Antwerp were Rubens lived, but i think that Van Eyck, who lived in Ghent, is the greatest painter of all times, the brothers Van Eyck revealed the painting on May 6 1432, 'The lamb of God'. This so unbelievable detailed, the water, the jewels, the people, the angels, you name it... Everything is painted in to perfection, and that painting is sooo big, you have to see it your self. Also his portrait called 'Giovanni Arnolfini and his wife', painted in 1434, is zo detailed, the reflection in the mirror is zo sick. Rubens painted more than 3000 beautiful paintings, but he is on the second place if you compare it with the mind blowing quality and details of the paintings of Van Eyck. As a Flemish guy, I'm proud of those 2 Flemish painters.

This is AWESOME!!!! So many wonderful paintings he produced - ok yes he had his apprentices fill in the details, but still: this is an impressive body (pun intended, lol) of work. GOTTA love the many cute little putti he seemingly delighted in including, and his mastery of 3-D space was remarkable.

rubens...a workshop...the most talented and best pictures of occident... but its important, it was the work only of a very talented mens Rubens was the master, and had the best apprtrentices...most works are a completed picture of the master and apprentices... its important to have it in mind....

@3:58 I can look at this painting for God knows how long and do it again the very next day and see something new. The one before this painting I time stamped is also a brilliant piece but this one for some reason I have yet to figure out makes me want to stare like I don’t have a choice but to look and seek out what’s there.

RUBENS of course is a master and the work speaks for itself, I wish they'd let it, instead of zooming out or whatever motion they're imposing on his work, impossible to focus on this great work. Gimmicks, what a shame....

Awesome Artist. I may have a lot but not as good, guess I have to wait 500 years for new Centuries to get a new perspective . But I will not be appreciated in my own time. Try as I may taking a new hand at this. Maybe far in the future may want a struggling unappreciated Artist such as myself.

@phloxell
@phloxell 6 жыл бұрын
No it is Rubens, if you look them up, ypu can see a difference when you look at the horizont of the painting. Rubens copied a lot of Titians Work when he had the chance, because he was a big role model for him due to his rise from being a normal painter to being a aristocratic at the court. :)
