Great lesson, wonder why it came up in my feed today? lol... the more years I play (going on 50), the more I have reduced the number of chords in a progression, really, it all comes down to the I and the V chord, or the ultimate distillation to the diminished leading tone. Chords go by so fast, I am trying to play ahead and come up with lines that resolve across the measures and creates a pulse with the harmony... still trying after 50 years....

TBH I've transcribed more Charlie Parker, Charlie Christian, Dexter Gordon and so on this particular progression, more bop stuff (it was such a staple of that music.) A bit of Django, but not much that I remember... A few tricks. How about yourself?
