The important thing is to remember that in finnish, you emphasize the first part of the word. For example, instead of having the "weight" of the word in the middle like you said in the police part (poLIIsi), you emphasize the first part (POliisi). The same goes to basically every word in the finnish language!

Mukava seurata edistymistäsi :) Inflections and suffixes may seem like a pain but there's a method in that madness :D and that's why we have a lot fewer root words to learn. So many words are derived. For examples: kirjain - a letter (of alphabet) kirje - a letter (of mail kind) kirja - a book kirjasto - a library kirjoittaa - to write kirjailija - an author kirjata - to keep record kirjasin - a font kirjuri - a scribe kirjoitus - a scripture etc.

"Tämä on minun taloNI." Here I have for you a couple of other forms you'll be needing later on. :P talo, talon, taloa, talossa, talosta, taloon, talolla, talolta, talolle, talona, taloksi, talotta For example: Olen talossa. = I'm in a house. (Compare: Olen talo. = I'm a house.)

I like this type of learning finnish videos! I find it entertaining but also useful for you. I like how the words and sentences were ones that you can actually use when you’re in Finland.
