Welcome to a new kind of video I hope to make more of - training vlogs! Just a heads up, this video is not a tutorial, it's an exploration of how one learns infinity tosses in a short timeframe. So this January, disillusioned and frustrated with my hooping, I decided to challenge myself to only learn how to do an infinity toss in one week. How far could I get in 7 days?
I'm not really a flow hula hooper, and when I try to flow I end up irritated because I do the same 5 combos over and over again. When I learn a new trick, I usually drill it until I can perform it, then I add the new skill into my act. I really love drilling, it's satisfying and structured, but how to actually drill seems to be a mystery to a lot of people, it was to me for a long time.
So in an effort to demystify the creative process, I documented my own process of learning to do an infinity toss in 1 week.

It's a difficult trick! Keep working on it. And yes, although this channel is about hula hooping, I will not shy away from larger issues that are happening in the world and our country.

@@HulaHoopingHannah it's coming. I'm not aware of any for the sword. Dealing with a 40 inch projection from the hand changes the angle of the orbit that I have to move it through unless I come off of a traditional plum flower broadsword movement.
