Learning Morse Code: Letters Practice

When learning Morse code, it is essential to practice so that the sound of the characters is learned. By learning the rhythm and sound of the code rather than the dots and dashes, it is possible to read the Morse code much more easily and far faster.
By learning the sound of the letters in Morse code rather than the dots and dashes as they are written, it is far easier to later transcribe an incoming Morse code message than having to work out the dots and dashes.
This video has been prepared to provide the Morse code practice "on-the-go" and available through a mobile phone to enable learning the letters of the alphabet.
Repeatedly listening to the sounds and associating them with the letters will help learn Morse code much faster and more easily.

Take a word of advice. Do not look at the dots and dashes if you want to learn the code. Rather, you should listen to the sound and recognize it that way. Trying to remember that a dit and a dash is an (a) and a dash and 3 dits are a (b) is a recipe for failure.

Not really, because telegraphs are no longer in common use, auditory transmission has gotten less use and need, of course is still an aspect one must learn, but visual intuition is as important today, but who am I to disagree? I am but a begginer, take my word with a grain of salt.

I should have started with 1 to 5 to see Dit from Dah. Then 6 to 0. First in order and when I knew them, randomly. Then this followed by randomly letters and then combined. More later.

The concepts was they commonly used letters were shorter & easier to send. E is the most common letter so it was assigned the shortest code, I.e. a single dot. Other letters are assigned other codes according to this principle.
