He has to not move his feet after he makes the shove it. Also expecting a land helps.

yeah, expecting to land it really helps. Sometimes when I focus too hard on one aspect of the trick I forget that landing with both feet on the board is a crucial step. So when you scoop with your back foot, visualise the board rotating underneath you and picture your feet landing on bolts and riding away. It sounds silly, but imagining yourself doing the trick successfully at the same time that you're scooping, really helps.
