My oldman used to say if you have four true friends in your life you had three to four more than everyone else.

Congratulations On Your Sobriety 🎉🎉🎉Life Is All About Seasons. My Grandma Is 85 Years Young, Her Best Friend Her Husband Passed And Many Of Her Friends Have Passed Or Moved Away To Live With Their Families Or Live In Facilities. Friends Come And Go. Enjoy Them While They Lasts, However Don't Get Too Attached And Stay Open To Meeting New People.

Thankyou for saying that. I'm still sober. November 1st this year will be 3 years. Friends have always came and went for me since I could walk. It honestly terrifies me trying to make a new friend. History tends to repeat itself with me.

You are exactly right. Friendship is a two way street, if your the only one putting into it then it is not true friendship. I will say there is nothing wrong with friends that come and go, everyones life changes. I like the friends that you may not see for a long time but can pick right up the next time you see them. Yes, work friends can be difficult especially as you climb the ladder. We all need to recognize that we humans are all different, everyone of us is unique so finding someone that is exactly like us is next to impossible, and that is okay. Friends can be great, some are long distance and some come and go and that is okay too.

Yes. When I moved into a school bus with my wife back in 2016 was when everything changed. I stopped doing what everyone else wanted me to do and it just didn't fit the narrative. That trend continued with going vegan, then quitting my job and going fully independent, then quitting alcohol. Every single one of these decisions pushed me farther and farther from people who I thought were my friends. I found my true self as time progressed with these decisions and I couldn't really relate to people anymore. The guy who got me onto this told me that I won't be able to relate to most truck drivers anymore bc I won't have a boss. I have found this to be very true. It seemed the one thing we all could relate to when I was a company guy was how bad work sucked and how much we hated management. I obviously don't have that anymore. I'm just not around people enough anymore to form friendships either. I prefer that though. There was so much pressure I put on myself when I was an employee to hang out with some of my co-workers. I put that on myself. I was just bad about saying no. I still struggle with saying no but it's not with people I dislike. I just hang out with family now and that's different.

One thing everyone can relate to is the older you get, the smaller your social circle gets. Nothing wrong with that especially nowadays with society going down the drain.

Yes. It definitely has and I prefer it at this point.

You can also think of family as friends. I enjoy talking with my brother and sister and some of my extended family. It seems like most people hang around more with family than friends.
@aftersolo8 ай бұрын
Yeah. I was excluding family from the video. I was only talking about friends who aren't family.

Yes. It's what is best for me and my wife. Less people = Less drama and stress. I wish it didn't have to be that way, but I have multiple good reasons.

Yeah, your own mind can be your worst enemy at times trying to make things easy for itself. I've had to fight that my entire life, and it's always been worth it. I try to always perceive things as they seek to be rather than how I seek them to be and it really let's me know exactly where I stand. Yeah man "friends" don't last long, I work from home, I use to be friends with the plp I work with but they all but 1 left and I just can't seem the laugh with the newer people. I'm blessed with a Wife and 5 youngens so I'm never without any friends really, they are my best friends. The topic here though it's because it's wordily lost people, they can't really love one another, so that's why they don't last, they show up for what they can get out of you and then stop talking to you without ever saying even why. Meet the Lord Jesus Christ and it don't matter if no one on the Earth is your friend, God will make up for that Himself, I ain't got parents but he is all I need. Praying for you buddy, Lord Jesus guide you.

Appreciate that brother. Life is full of struggles for sure, but I'm figuring it out and finding my way. It took a while, but better late than never.

Good to hear from a trucky on the other side of the world. Sweet rig btw. I love KW's. I bet she's a beast. The bumper up front is huge! Love the 2 snorkels way up in the air for taking in air. Looks like a truck from Mad Max. They don't sell trucks over here like I see you all driving. Of course, you all pull a lot more weight. I've pulled 3 trailers that were 28' each and 2 trailers that were 48' and that was enough for me.

@@aftersolo Yeah She is a KW T909 600hp similar to your W900 but a bit taller. I've got a Drake 4x8 Swing-wing trailer in my workshop which I have completely rebuilt, sandblasted and painted. Next job is to fit brake boosters, slack adjusters etc. Am waiting for my brake shoes to be relined, but hopefully she will be back on the road soon
