I need to find THAT version! I had the HUGE coffee table version! I was about 15 or 16 when I got it. It was my first "reference" book on Barbie. It's how I knew some of the clothes in my grandmother's Barbie doll box, were authentic Barbie (aside from the tag, which some pieces were missing.). Like the overdress to Friday Nite Date. I finally have the underdress, and hope to find the accessories someday to complete the outfit ❤

What a great idea for you to share that book Sue! So many of those mod fashions bring back good memories and so do the, what was my, hand-me-down early 60s outfits, too. I remember the way they felt. I have a few but not all. LOL Working on it though. Some of the most expensive I buy reproductions. 😀 If I don't have any issues will share your pictures Sunday on my "Sunday dress up doll day."

What a great little book! Made even better by your research :) I saw some clothing I had never seen or heard of before. And I'm in love with some of those Mod outfits. Oh who am I kidding I am in love with all these outfits lol. Thanks for sharing!

Me too, Some can get very pricey, But all in all, it seems cheaper to buy complete than a piece at a time. Especially. on Ebay. Sometime I don't care about all the accessories. Some of the hat's can run $100 alone.

I love these books....except prices are forever changing (and not always up) I have a couple of Chatty Cathy (and family) books and I love to just look at them! ;-) Thanks for sharing.

Yes they are helpful, Prices are always changing, I put current N.Mint to MINT prices on recently sold. You can sometimes find lesser quality for lower prices. I am kinda picky I like my Mint items. LOL

I just acquired a collection with clothes that are in this book. I was in the process of pricing them and in my research came across your video. Thanks so much for this. Helps a lot. Btw, how does one determine if what they have is in mint condition? Thanks in advance Sue.

Mint condition is usually crips and clean with no damage or dirt. Some only consider it mint if it is still in the original packaging. I have: however, had things in the package that were faded and dirty. Placing item in some location can damage them, even if they are still in the package.

Is this book that you are showing available anywhere or is it homemade I have a barbie doll with a date of 1958 on the back the doll has a cardigan sweater and checkerboard black and white pants What is this

The cardigans came with sets and also separates in different color. Same with some of the pants. I have some other videos showing outfits. This book is not home made.

These were some of the prices I got from Ebay sold items when I did the video. Things are always up and down on there. That was not of course MINT items.
