managed to resolve my issue where at 10:15 was struggling to use filter gallery. my image was set at 16bit instead of 8bit. fantastic tutorial and thanks for sharing

How do I remove the black background for all these 3 energy balls??

I have the following problem. Following your steps, I created a new document with a black background color. When I made a new layer, the background color was not black with transparency but only transparent, so the brush was in white color and when I tried to make the first wave, I couldn't see what I'm doing because the shape was white in a not black background. Any thoughts on how I can fix this? How can I make a new layer like yours? BTW, this video rocks!

Actuallty, i have changed the preview color of transparent background, from prefences and then transparent option. Your transparent and my transparent is same, dont worry.

BTW, how do i save these with .png. cuz when i tried to save it the black background is come with it and when i inactive the black background [hide] the hue/saturation didnt work. so any suggest what should i do to save this image with the hue saturation come with it and without the black background. so i could get the real raw sphere from it. thx in advanced

Why can't I attach the hue/sat to the layer? Once I do it turns white?

I know this was from a while ago, but just in case you never got an answer or anyone else needs help: When using a white brush there is no color for the hue/saturation layer to work with. To fix this, make sure you check the Colorize box under the lightness slider on the Hue/Adjustment layer. Hope this helps!
