I recommend a romcom called Холоп (it's Serf in English). The story's about son of some buisnessman who gets transported in the past in Russian Empire. I know that it sounds weird, but it's actually great, it's so hilarious and cute lol!

I also watched better than us. It was amazing, and even with very basic russian, I was surprised how much I understood. They speak very clearly and pronounced, that makes it easier. Especially the "bot" and the bad guy are easy to understand. I definetly recommend it!

thats almost scary because it was EXACTLY what i was thinking today i understand that i was learning, not doing the thing i like, learning russian was the free time of my free time and thats why i didnt make progress, now i really understand imersion, just replace all the videos, anime, movies, series and videos games that you do but in RUSSKI ! its not even hard or easy, its natural ! see you all in the other side !

Некоторые рекомендации по сериалам: Улица Разбитых Фонарей, Бандитский Петербург, День рождения Буржуя. They are all quite old and in many respects anachronistic (they don't represent modern Russian life any more than a series about 1930s Chicago represents today's US life), but because they are crime or "vendetta" focused series, you get hooked very quickly. Another one - Апостол, WW2 action series

I have watched a few Russian series: «Доктор Живаго», «Екатерина», «Романовы», and I didn’t understand much, but it was worth it. The problem with subtitles is that they are machine-made; in English the subtitle won’t match the word said, and in Russian a word in English will pop up every now and then.😊

If you've b een learning for a month, you're a bit limited in series. But you can check out the channel StarmediaEN and see what they have.

I know it's very personal but it would be great if you could do a video on the media you would recommend to learn Russian (movies and tv shows) and also maybe an equivalence of some sort (e.g. if you like the American tv show Community, you might like the Russian tv show X). Take care

Here's a list I wrote with some suggestions: learntherussianlanguage.com/the-7-best-russian-tv-shows-for-learning-russian/ I haven't watched enough of U.S. shows to really give equivalents though. You need an okay level of Russian for this, but I recommend using plot descriptions in Russian and searching on the Russian web to gather more information about a given series and if you'd like it or not.

thank you for the advice! I'm learning russian and i was a little worried because i dont watch media i play games, but ive been changing in game languages now so i can replicate this idea in game. immersion is definitely key right?

Лучше, чем люди, Пандемия, Метод, и Кухня. На канале есть видео с большими сериалами) Мне нравятся Сергей Орлов, Нурлан Сабуров, Костя Пушкин т Саша Малой. В этом году в Амстердаме я был на концертах Сергея Орлова, Кирилла Селегея, Вани Усовича и Яси Тринадцатко)

Thanks for your comment! To clarify for other people reading this comment: I meant the stress change from водА -> вОду. The reason why the "а" changes to "у", is because it's in the accusative case (the direct object of the sentence).

I'm currently enjoying lots of the historical documentaries from StarMediaEN (not exactly series, but listening to the narrator has the same purpose). Лучше, чем люди and Пандемия are also nice.

it's wierd, if you feel proper moment to say a swear word, you should give it a try. after 2-3-10 times it will become more 'authentic'. why to stop something that pops up naturally?
