I've done this with alcohol inks with paper so I hope it will work with non water based dyes can't wait to try

Love the look. Ive got to try this myself. What would happen if you didn't wipe it off or tinse it for say 1/2 an hour? Im thinking the dyes would have more time to det and be darker

Great question! Did you try it? I’d love to know if leaving it on longer helped with the color.

I haven’t tried, however I will say the first “dip” is the most vibrant, I’ve stirred cream and done multiple pieces and they start to look more faded each time most likely due to the shaving cream absorbing the dye.

Eco flo, it’s water based but I’ve used alcohol based as well, both work.

I’ve had a journal cover for 3 years now with no issues. I usually wash the leather after wiping, let dry and add a sealer.
