Many thanks for the kind words Scott. I am glad that our work resonates with you and grateful for your feedback and input along the way. The offer still stands if you want us to mend and clean up your old bags, as I always love breathing new life into old tools! Lastly, I don't know about colliding with Buckaroo, but I do know that I'll be ordering a set of their belt suspenders here soon! They look like an excellent long term solution. Thanks again for connecting with me, and for all of the work that you do! Best regards, Patrick

please try the Buckaroo suspenders. I went for the full rig and love slipping it on for the start of the day. comfortable, everything in the right place. a chisel in the hammer ring pouch, 2 bags and comfortable all day. big thumbs up to Buckaroo who sent my rig to the UK from Auststralia with a T shirt and storage bag. I love it. after trying cheaper kit my son advised ( a Snap On Guy ) spend the money, get the right kit. He was so right, I was so proud, and have loved Buckaroo ever since. The other bags hand in the garage. Well done Buckaroo. Well done Essential for putting on the show. luv it

My choice in bags is Occidental Leather. But let’s not argue quality. The one and only reason for me is that I’ve had my occidental bags for 23 years of full time use and they are old friends to me. Those bags are a partner to me who has always been there. I can’t get myself to cheat on my old bags with something new. 😉. Those old bags helped me support my family all these years and I won’t forget it.

The aesthetic beauty of a well-built leather item is hard to question, and those pouches and belts are gorgeous. Layout, I think, is much more subjective, and only the end user can determine where the trade-off lies between beauty, utility (meaning how a pouch's layout works for you, and to what degree you're willing or able to adapt your work habits to a bag's layout) and cost.

I had a full Buckaroo set up for years, and changed over to Akribis within the last year and wouldn't look back. I still use the Buckaroo back support belt with my setup but everything else they blow Buckaroo, Occidental, Diamondback, etc out of the water. I know carpenters can be bias and once they got a set up, they usually don't change it until it has more rivets than leather in it, but check them out

Run the straps of your suspenders through the belt loop on the leather holster then button them to your pants. It lays sideways but that is okay. I used to wear it on my right side with the flap towards the back. That way with one hand and one motion I could open it and get the Leatherman out. The nice part is because it is above the beltline it doesn't interfere with your work belt.

I look for lightweight as can be ..Being the prima donna lead man .. I carry the least I can and make sure that someone toting half a trailer worth of tools on him is close by ..My pouches fill up sawdust and what I call a salad of fasteners and bits ..
