I am a jewelry maker for 3 years this year I just got me some tools and I'm thinking about shifting my jewelry to leather I found your post on this just now and you make it look so easy and I know it's not but yeah if you can do a tutorial on beginning with leather beginners thanks Yvonne

I could see 4 or 5 of those dangling from a leather lace (like a shoelace) or cord and clipped into my hair. (I'm a little bit hippy... err no um... Bohemian!)

your not the only man here. sheesh get over yourself. LOL. All of Yavonnes techniques can be used for alot ot different projects. I am starting a leather crafting business so this is one of the products that I will have in my shop and booth. Thanks Yavonne, hope I'm spelling your name right. I don't mean to speak for Matt, but hes a cool cat and I know a lot can get lost in translation (voice inflection, humor, etc) in an online forum. nice tutorial! beautiful earrings! I also love to use acrylic in crafts yet indeed if on shoes or cuff it tends to crack :(. still wonder what a solution could be? have you ever tried sealing it with a special sealer spray or something like that?

try mixing the paint with gel medium. It's a lil bit more flexible but doesn't change the colour. not 100% how it'd be on leather but it's worked on a few of my projects so might be worth a try

Your swivel knife looks very different from the one with the amazon link. Yours looks more like it is designed ergonomically to be easier on gripping for you fingers and hand joints. I am dealing with painful thumb and finger joints right now and wonder where you got your paricular swivel knife from.

you know that indian ink you have can be used as a tattoo ink. so u could tattoo the leather. maybe ud want to try? :) all u need is a sharp pointy thing and u wratp a string around it so it picks up the ink and then the same motions u do with ur tools up down.

it is a permanent on skin and stains leather. ive used it for tattoos before.
