Hey Johnny, sorry about your hand injury. As for the ratchet driver, that's a great idea! The drill bit seems to work well as an awl replacement. I am EDC the Wave, and I have really been enjoying it, thought I would be missing not carrying a multi tool with the SAK handle accessories, but it turns out I can squeeze the tweezers and firefly Ferro rod between the saw and the outer handle. They don't move, unless I have to use the saw (not that often). The only mod that I had to do was trim the plastic nubs on those tools (that allow you to pull the tool out of the SAK scales). Anywho, now I'm thinking this ratchet, with a drill bit that fits would be a great addition to my kit, thank you.

The brad point on the drill bit would be good in this application. It keeps the drill from wandering when you are first starting the hole with a wobbly multitool.

I also set up a ratchet device for my Wave and SOG Powerpint, along with a useful set of bits. Using a wood bit is genius...I wonder how large a bit could be used effectively (for boring holes in logs to make "Swedish candles"?

I am going to void my 2 year warrenty for my leatherman ratchet driver by drilling a 1/8 " hole into the metal flat end, so I can put it on a large keyring using the keyring to help turn the ratchet one handed.I have a tool roll for doing maintenance work and that's where I will keep it.

With the Power Acess, you can actually get it to hold securely in place in the bit driver on the top. It will work for general tasks, but for a real project, clamping down on the sog might be a bit of a pain.

Use your awl to start the pilot whole then use your auger bit.
