Decent tip. I still believe a stone would be safer and perhaps a little more effective. Regardless, nice tool.

As someone from an area that doesn't have a lot of igneous pebbles, I'd definitely bring some sort of hammering tool when I'm out camping. The powerstone™ is useful, but scarce around my parts.

Common sense is never common, it is far better to think of it as, “commonly TAUGHT sense”. There are very few concepts that are truly “common” or “innately universal”. A proper understanding of what common sense is and isn’t will help you a lot when it comes to understanding people’s behavior.

I wonder how it would affect the durability of the tool (I know it was designed for it, but stil). Thank you for sharing this. No more blood blisters or scratches. Edit: just one warning, I did something similar using a sledgehammer head once, and afterwards I had pain on my fingers, close to the articulation/joint, and a small bruise. So don't go hammering a whole house worth of nails using that method.

I think the most useful way to implement that "hammer" is to tenderize grouse breast or other cuts of meat before being cooked over a fire. The serrated blade (something I typically avoid) is also great for removing fish heads.

We have a small piece of land and the Signal is useful to tap in loose nails on the wooden gates. And fixing wire fencing etc. There are specific tools for everything but carrying fencing pliers,a knife, basic screwdriver and a hammer around with me every time I step out the door isn’t much fun.
