Are there any benefits to the composite shell vs the polycarb other than the 3oz weight difference? I’m really trying to convince myself to get the 8.5 instead of the 7.5 cuz of the graphics tbh. Is the pro fit liner a worthy upgrade? Thx

If you can find the budget it's defiantly a worthy upgrade. While 3 ounces doesn't sound like much, it can make a big different over a long day of riding. Additionally fiber shells offer the manufacture more options when it comes to energy management. During R&D they can actually tune in the thickness of the shell in different areas to produce the best crash testing results. Polycarbonate helmets can stack up pretty well in terms of safety, but rely on a uniform shell thickness. The pro fit liner is awesome and improves stability especially at higher speeds. Would you say the Alpinestars M8 would have a similar fit to this helmet? Also which helmet would you recommend for hard enduro riding..

We've found the M8 to have a stiffer fit, something that is more suited to MX racing (short motos) than longer enduro sessions. For enduro we'd prefer the Leatt 8.5 or Suomy MX Speed; both are very light weight, well ventilated and built for all day comfort.

Hey Justin - Any MX helmet with goggles is going to be loud at Speed. If that's a problem we only have two recommendations - 1. Eag Plugs 2. Dual Sport Helmet with a face-shield. If you need some suggestions let us know!

which model of the Leatt is round shape? or which brand of this type of helmet round shape? i filtered on your website for round shape and got the gmax mx86. I like the Leatt color flavors. Thank

Hey Binh - Sorry to say there's no truly round shaped motocross helmets on the US market that we know of at this time. Our best recommendation would be the Shoei VFX-EVO as it's rather roomy in the sides / ears. @@SpeedAddictsTV i got the suomy speedstar from your website after watching your review, you said it is slightly more round than other suomy. The fit is spot on 😍. Do you recommend suomy mx? i am sold on this brand. It feels solid in my hands and nice comfy padding. I like the suomy mx after seeing the review but want your expertise first.

@@bobit8742 While we love the Suomy MX Speed And MX Jump, neither fits like the Speedstar / Steller Street helmets in terms of shape. The Speedstar was an unusual case where Suomy used the same shape mold for the Asian and US market.
