Well I think you are perfect and amazing! I remember finding your channel and binged the WHOLE thing. You inspire me and to think that you went all over the country alone and made it though all of it without quitting. And THEN to top it off you’ve been in Hawaii for a very long time and you’ve had shelter and food and experiences! I’m scared to start traveling but when I see what you have done I am inspired. You have been so informative and every once in a while I go back to see your videos for encouragement. 💕

When I saw this part, I cried and I am still crying. The best "Mother's Day" gift you could have given your mother? You bet!!! Our son has been on the opposite coast for almost 20 years and we can't stand it. It has left a huge gaping hole in our lives and is a sad, constant heartache. We would give just about anything for him and his family to move back home again. So, please tell your Mom that I am going to "borrow" some of her joy. It can be one Mom's gift to another! (Insert tearful smile here.) She has 2 very loving daughters. Have many, many happy days and times together!

Love you Holli! It's ok to flow through life like you are :) And you gained the subscribers because people love your videos and are looking forward to more, not because we need to have a video everyday at a specific time, etc. If it makes you feel any better its beautiful back here minnesota/western wisconsin. Would love it if you had a meetup when you got back! 😊

No matter what you do or say, there will always be haters. Ignore them. Holli, you are not a failure and you are not quitting. Don't let it "bum you out." You just need a break. (I've had it happen to me where I just did not feel like making another video. I'm in the middle of that again, right now. It happens. What I've learned is that it will pass.) When you give yourself the time to step back, relax, move home again, etc. you'll eventually get back into it - when YOU are ready. (Here's the older "Mom" voice speaking: I'm glad you are leaving. From the moment you announced you were going to Hawaii, I never felt peaceful about it or comfortable with it. I felt a black cloud hanging over the whole thing. Now I can breathe a happy sigh of relief.) BE HAPPY AND EXCITED, GIRLFRIEND! New chapters are about to begin! The blackboard is clean and ready for a fresh new story!

Good luck on this next chapter. I was in Hawaii (Big Island) about a month ago...great time but much different vacationing there vs living/working there. I did however talk to a lot of young people your age who moved to Hawaii, as you did. Similar situations, it's a struggle they say and many worked jobs like waitressing or within tourism support services (restaurants ,etc.) . Chalk it up to a great experience and at least you have these videos to look back on and remember. Best of luck going forward...

Hi Holli. You just have so much on your plate I can understand why you're going through so much emotion about the channel and being available to it and leaving Hawaii and everything it's just a lot. You look beautiful and you look really tired. I'm glad you had a great year and a half in Hawaii but it sounds like you're really ready to go home to Minnesota. And that chapter of your life I'm sure will be amazing. Thanks for the video and you are not rambling.

Always worried about you being lonely, now that won't be a problem. You can always show us your Land of 10,000 Lakes. I don't know a lot about Minnesota, I lived there for a year when I was in first grade. The main thing I remember is my family live in town so small that we had to travel to a larger one, Alexandria, to go grocery shopping. In Alexandria there was a large(around 30ft tall) Viking(Big Ole) in the middle of road which you could drive around. Hope you get over your cold, look forward to your next video.

What’s wrong with it just being a hobby? Hobbies make us happy. Hobbies give us something to put our energy into. However if you don’t have a lot of energy left it’s totally understandable that you’d slow down making videos! Don’t be so hard on yourself! I’d still watch a monthly video. You are the creator of this channel don’t forget you can do what you want! If you don’t feel like posting for awhile don’t. Some of my favourite (pretty successful) youtubers don’t post on any kind of a schedule. They post when feels right and because of that the videos don’t feel forced and you can feel the authenticity. Give credit where credit is due - to you! 19K is a lot of subscribers and you did that. We’re all here because of you, there’s a lot to be proud of. Remember not to sink into comparison. Love you, love your videos.

Holli I really can't see why people dissed you about your honesty about the Big Island. Being a Virgo and having that critique side of me and having lived in Hawaii for over 20 years I appreciated your documentations and really liked that video about why you were leaving the Big Island. The vog can be devastating and really liked what you said about workaway and woofing having done it and been a host. I thought it was one of the best videos I had ever seen. And everything you said is so true! I would like to know about why you left Hawaii and the truth about it. There can be some reverse racism that I experienced first hand living in Hana Maui. I wasn't a big fan about this video as you didn't really talk about the things you didn't like about Oahu and glossed over things. You are a pretty girl and I feel you down play your looks at times. I like you with long dark hair the best. I am impressed with your skills at editing. But I will definitely watch this video again and hear about your favorite videos.

I've lived on the Big Island for about 7 years, although some people are the kindest you'll ever meet there are those who are mean just because you are white. I still love the place and I don't think I will let those few people turn me away... Also I'm glad you are home now. Hawaii is nice but it is a very expensive place to live especially when you are young and on your own trying to figure life out.

Hawaii is definitely an acquired taste. I’ve lived here eight years and the first full year here I hated it!! I even had a running Facebook commentary daily on things I hated. Now there is nowhere in the world I would rather be but Hawaii is just not for everybody. I’ve only visited the other islands so I can’t speak for living on them but I think that just maybe that creepy old Betsy McCall looking doll gave you some bad Oahu island juju . Lol. Good luck on your new endeavors!! I look forward to new videos from wherever your wandering free spirit takes you when you’re in the right space and place to film. 😘

Your new hair style looks gorgeous on you. Been watching since your travels in Florida. Did not find your videos all that interesting on the islands. Your personality along with extremely cute face seems to keep me interested. Your channel may even do better at home where your'e under less stress. Don't know what your expectations were with making a go of the channel and life on a lux islands.Would say you did well, while looking from the outside. What personal toll, we can't know. If you really enjoy You Tube "work" then shake it up when you get back. Mustn't forget that your'e involved in a creative art and it is neither simple or easy. If does not meet your expectations, don't hang around and beat yourself up. With your personality and fearlessness, you will do just fine at whatever you decide. Always remember the good times and forget the negatives. You have a great start to life and a long way to go. Keep going forward and plucking away at it. It's all good. We are all just lucky to be here.
