John Sheahan and Paddy Moloney both. Paddy is actually a year older than John. They were school mates in Dublin growing up.

"Shame Nigel Farage can't debate without being rude"? WTF does the lying boiled frog have to do with Irish music?

Love the key change at 2:30. Interesting that it modulates down a step, rather than up as is more common. At 2:31-2:35, is Moya Brennan adjusting the harp strings to play in the new key?
@stephaniecaffrey5 жыл бұрын
thats exactly right. good spot. i dont like the key change myself i think it brings the vibe down rather than up. good spot.

Have the Irish got into the ugly habit of clapping to songs? Clapping to the "Leaving of Liverpool" is something I would only expect from an American audience not too versed in the difference between the meaning of words and the beat of of the music accompanying the song.
@funkydunky63663 жыл бұрын
Yes unfortunately. Russell Crowe on the Late Late one night stopped his tune and said "if you're going to clap at least do it in time". That put a halt to the happy clappers!!
