April is the time of the year where I feel the most weak and the most tired. I think the transition between winter and spring is like being in the middle of a fight where nobody wins.
But this April was so much more easy than it used to be, and that's because I actually traveled away to the south for a while :) It was not to a very warm country, but it was definitely much more spring and warmth than it was here. And that was so helpful!
Now the best time is ahead of us and i feel so much more recharged now.
How are you dealing with this time of the year where you live?
I hope you will enjoy the video!
Sending you so much love ♥

I _always_ have so many creative or existential thoughts when I watch Jonna's videos, often compelled to respond with my own two cents worth. My takeaway: 1) even with a migraine, Jonna is dedicated, 2) intergenerational friendships are important, 3) even if you love your profession and is done even joyously, a body needs to unwind with "nothing", 4) this channel (among others) proves that people want to come together from literally everywhere; there is not even a hint of obscenity, vulgarity, condescension, etc., 5) the good feeling after absorbing these videos carries forward, as if I am a calm eddy gently flowing at the edge of the raging sea of humanity. Well...

Well, it got a little ugly when Jonna said she felt like a bag of ................. but everyone is entitled to feel that way sometimes............. and her expressing it that way proves she is occasionally not perfect.......... just like the rest of us............ but she is so wonderful in all of these videos nearly all of the time that I worry a bit when she is tired or sick or sad........... and for God's sake Jonna, don't fall off that high ladder when painting the barn ! (in the next episode I think)

I'm Canadian and every day for the last 80, I weep every few days each time I hear what horror the Russians have done next. I'm so sorry. It's not possible that Ukraine has to be forced to stand up against this evil alone. :( But NATO (including my country) although giving weapons and money, are not brave and they don't do the right thing in stopping Russia immediately. Now it seems like a lot of Western media is pushing the narrative that Ukraine must concede land to Russia to have a ceasefire, but as I know from following Ukrainians on twitter-- that is the farthest thing you want or need! It will not stop Putin. Imagine if France, Poland & England were forced to give up part of their land to Nazi Germany in 1942 because the Allies didn't step in? Anyways, I don't agree at all with NATO. Also, Russia needs to be stopped now-- they are impacting the globe's possibility of stopping the Climate Crisis before it is too late. The 80 billion (very deservedly) given to Ukraine could have been spent on mitigating Climate Crisis, had Russia not behaved like non-humans. This will further impact food resources globally. And because of Russia some countries are forced to spend millions reshaping their source of oil and gas instead of transitioning to green energy. So yes-- these seem to be a few strong points to make the West wake up and realize Russia must be stopped immediately, whatever it takes. I send my love and my prayers for your safety, and for NATO to do the right thing very soon. x

I just came back from a 5 day weekend in the mountains on my grandfather's house. I took no cellphone or radio and had the TV turned off most of the time. I hiked everyday with my brother in the mountains and it was an absolute bliss. Because I live in the city, the quiet and the peacefulness where something I had been missing ever since the pandemic started. It was like living with noise setting of 100 and then turning it all the way down to 0 zero... I feel more relaxed mentally than I ever did in these two years. After 4 days of hikes I rested my tired feet on a freezing cold water spring and after it was like I was walking on clouds... I wish I could live there and I cannot wait to go back.

Jonna, my heart skipped a beat when I saw the title of this video. I was selfishly scared you were moving away from the north. Your home has become mine over these years as you so kindly share it with us and I couldn't bear to loose it. I am glad you got rejuvenated down south but happy you came back to make more precious memories for us building your future in the north. Take care from your loyal Colorado friend who dreams of experiencing your world some day.

Regarding feeling sick right when you relax: this is actually a thing, when you are working and under a certain level of stress your body produces hormones to essentially "keep you powering through". However once you relax, for example, when you go on holiday, the hormone production changes and can make your immune system temporarily a bit weaker, making you susceptible to getting sick. Unfortunately there's not much you can do about it other than spending a week sleeping like you did. Think of it as a reset for your body, even if a very annoying one :D

Canada geese are getting to be so few here now. I remember years back seeing the sky covered with honking geese as they prepare to migrate. Now the government has this “egg rattling” program where they have workers rattle the eggs hard so that they don’t hatch. It was supposed to be so we don’t have soooo much goose poop on our beaches and parks, which yes, was pretty bad- but I think they have been overdoing it. Seeing a goose is getting very rare.

With the amount of seedlings I grow I don´t have time to feel that I´m lacking of energy and just by looking at my seedlings I also got new energy.
