Hakeem is probably the most skilled big man (5) of all time. Absolutely deadly on both ends of the floor, a true two way player. As soon as Jordan wasn't looking (94 & 95) Hakeem picked up a couple chips and well deserved because outside of Jordan, Hakeem was the best player in the league in the mid-90's.

Olajuwon was a beast! Played against him when he played for the Houston Cougars. He dominated yet after he blocked my shot to the upper deck, he helped me up and said "good shot". A great person his whole life.

The Dream giving hall-of-famers nightmares like Krueger. Unguardable top 5 center all-time! Best footwork I have ever seen on a big. So good that even Bron asked him to tutor him. And when they asked Hakeem about Bron vs Jordan he said "It's an unfair comparison. Jordan if far more superior and in a tougher league." I think he's pretty qualified on the GOAT subject.

Both disgusting time’s in History, but Bill Burr said that Hitler was trying to make the ultimate human being, and the America accidentally did it with Slavery because now black guy’s are dunking all over white guy’s because they are way more athletic.
A word of advice don't react to a single season when reacting to a player for the first time those are more context rather than the plays that people remember you are missing out on some players when they are at their most athletic.

Born and raised in Houston. Had a friend go to a Rocket's game in the 80's and Hakeem would practice his dream shake from behind the backboard, shooting it over the back and swishing it every time. He was incredible to watch.

he was definitely WAAAAY more agile than you'd ever expect from a big man... as some said "the crazy thing about Hakeem is when he was out at the perimeter you weren't sure if he was gonna pull up or cross you over." Plus the dude had the most unbelievable touch.. them hands are silky soft

With all the great centers in NBA history I believe Hakeem was the best overall. He could literally do it all on both ends of the floor. His 95 season was unreal with all the awards he won and categories he led the league in that year. He was unstoppable.

Hakeem is one of the most underrated players ever. Because he did his damage during the time Jordan played and he only won win jordan retired then when he came back but was rusty so mj wasn't the same. Hakeem is the all time leader in blocks. He's definitely one of the top 5 defenders of all time. Prime Hakeem is top 5 all time. He is the only player ever to finish seasons in the top 10 in 4 categories. He finished top 10 in points, rebounds, blocks, steals.

In 1990 he averaged 24.3 points 14.0 rebounds 2.9 assists 2.1 steals 4.6 blocks 2.1 steals for a center?? Then add in almost 5 blocks per game lol. That's insane. If he would of been more of a scorer he would of been even better. Which is crazy to think about.
