Mullin was Curry, version 0.99. The guy shot .460 for corner 3's, from 33-37 years old (when they started tracking it). That's insane. In 1992-93 he shot .510/.451/.810

What most people don't know is that Chris Mullin is from NYC. Born and raised and even played his college ball in NYC at St. John's. He learned the game on the street ball courts in Harlem and the Bronx. He was a phenomenal shooter already. Then he got tough mentally and physically from years of banging on the street ball courts. Mullin was one of, if not the first white dude "allowed" to run on the Rucker Park courts. And when he got to the league he put in work. Find some video of the Run TMC Warriors. Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin. In the late 80s/early 90s the league was physical, defense oriented and low scoring. 80-90 points at that time was considered an offensive explosion. The Warriors averaged 116 points a game. Out of that 116 points per game, the TMC trio was responsible for 75 points. That was the 2nd highest offensive output by 3 guys in NBA history. In their first season together they set a NBA record for a team with 3 players having a 20 point game. They did it 48 times that season. The next year, in the very first game of the season, I shit you not, they dropped 162 points on the Nuggets. Unfortunately they didn't even try to play defense. They scored 162 points and only won by 4 points. 162-158 was the final score and set the record for most combined points in a game.

Fun Facts: The members of the Dream Team combined for 23 NBA championship rings. The Dream Team roster combined for 15 NBA MVP awards. When the NBA at 50 released its top 50 players of all time in 2017, a total of 10 members of the Dream Team made that list. The only players that were not on the top 50 were Chris Mullin and Christian Laettner. The 12 players on the Dream Team combined for 117 NBA All-Star Game appearances. Jordan and Malone led the way with 14 appearances each over their entire careers. Eight of the top 50 NBA scorers of all time played on the Dream Team. That list includes Karl Malone (36,928), Jordan (32,292), Patrick Ewing (24,815), Charles Barkley (23,757), Clyde Drexler (22,195), Larry Bird (21,791), David Robinson (20,790) and John Stockton (19,711). 👀👀

Thanks for that 💯💯 those are some serious stats!!

@Will-fk2dk 9 ай бұрын
Now those are some hefty stats! I grew up in Chicago, so I was already a massive Jordan and Pippen fan, and this was immediately after the Bulls 2nd Championship (First 3-peat). Nobody could believe it was happening. I am not exaggerating when I say that the entire world was captivated by the Dream Team! Even non-NBA or non-basketball fans fell in live with this Team! So many people BECAME Basketball fans exactly BECAUSE OF the Dream Team. See, most of us in the US pretty much knew what was going to happen in the Olympics. It really was a forgone conclusion. However, there was that tiny bit of "Well, what if...", ya know? But they played in a Tournament a few weeks or a month before the Olympics began, and it was basically North and South American Teams... They DESTROYED everyone. That put our minds at ease. Nobody was going to defeat this Team. Nobody. Anyway, at this time, 1992, Michael Jordan was... I mean... He was IT. He was already the biggest star on the Planet. Bar none. Actors, Musicians. Politicians and Heads of State... they ALL got star-struck around MJ. Yet, thanks to him being the main guy on the Dream Team, he became even more popular if you can believe it. That's why I just cannot stand any comparison between MJ and LeBron. It's just not gonna happen. He will never, EVER be the GOAT. That title is reserved for Michael Jordan alone. The closest anyone has ever come is Kobe, and even he was still miles away. But the Dream Team went on to win by ridiculous margins. They blew out everyone. Overall it was one of the greatest Sporting Events of my entire life. This Documentary should be 10 episodes, like the one they did for MJ and the 90s Bulls: "The Last Dance". You can't tell the whole story of this Team and the Players in one-2 hour episode.

They didn't want anyone on the team that might cause any issues. Also.. Thomas led the Pistons off the court before the game ended against the Bulls because they lost! Very poor sportsmanship! You need to look up 1972 Munich Olympics Basketball gold medal game. Basically the US was ahead by 1 with 3 seconds to with Soviets having to go full court. They threw it in US won. An official from the behind the iron curtain came out of the crowd and demanded a do over. They got it and lost a second time. Then it happened again and two US players collided and Soviets laid it. US protested but was denied. The team voted to refuse their silver medals and did not attend the medal ceremony. The medals are still in a vault in Switzerland I believe.

Larry Bird and Magic Johnson help bring back basketball but the biggest one who bring back basketball in the 80s through the 90s is Michael Jordan being a Chicago Bulls fan and born in Chicago and raised in North Carolina Duke was my favorite team for college so I was so proud to see Michael Jordan and Christian Leitner playing together. Oh I love them days basketball was great nowadays not so much, it was a lot rougher game back then these guys had to put up with a lot. I respect all three of them, but Mike still the goat of all time in my opinion.
