Dropped 16 points in the 4th quarter, assisted on 6 more points, 2 blocks, carried the Heat back into the game himself. But all people want to say is Ray Allen’s 3 saved LeBron’s legacy lol. Gtfoh

Bron hit the crucial 3 that set up Allen’s 3. And he was wide open enough to take that shot instead of Allen. To say Allen “saved” lebron legacy means you ain’t watch the fourth quarter. Whoever hit that shot it was a crucial shot in nba finals history period.

There is a tiny bit of truth to saving his career because Bron, after doing like 20 straight good things in the 4th, had three turnovers in like 5 possessions at the end of the game. Bron won the game back single-handedly. Then lost the game single-handedly. Then hit an insane shot. Then Ray with the greatest shot of all time.

Coming back to this in 2021, it’s crazy how a 7 point game with 10 minutes to go really felt like 15-20 points today. Teams didn’t have that scoring volatility even just 8 years ago. I swear I was thinking they were dead in the water in a 7 point game with a quarter to play. Thrilling!

It’s irritating to me when people try to say “Of course LeBron won. He had D Wade and bosh” Yes, Wade was “on” the team but he was like 60% of his peak in 2013 and 2014 playoffs. Bron, bosh, and Wade as a core was not at all like having Steph, KD, Dray, Klay all in their primes at the same time. LeBron pretty much had to have a historic game for the heat to get a win, and look what happened… he had multiple legendary games, and they won.

Maybe a hot take but I believe this Finals conquest in 2013 against the Spurs is right up there with 2016. Recall that 6 years prior to this series, a 22yo Lebron got handled by the Spurs in 4. I think 2016 is more impactful to him, but this one is a close second.

I honestly think game 7 of this series is the most underrated Lebron game. Besides 2018 game 1, 2013 game 7 might be his best finals game of all time. 37 points 12 rebounds 4 assists with the game clinching shot to go up 4 with 30 seconds left, next possession gets the game clinching steal, then makes the final 2 free throws.

@@hussein6173 Points are the most reliable. Assists and rebounds are too easy to pad. Lebron gets assists by limiting ballmovement and teammate touches. He gets a lot of rebounds by slacking on defense and farming free, uncontested rebounds with little impact.

@@johhythompson7983 Right?! If LeBrons 45 win Cavs didn't push the Celtics to 7 games in 2008 WITH coincidentally 45 points in game 7 from LeBron; they wouldn't have been tested enough and might have lost to the Pistons in the conference finals or the Lakers in the finals! Hence 2013 would have been Ray Allens first title instead of his second! So you're right Ray Allen really does owe that to LeBron. LeBron motivated Allen and the Celtics to win it that year and in turn caused Allen to win 2 championships in 2008 and 2013 rather than one in 2013.
