The Los Angeles Lakers never trailed in a 122-101 series-clinching Game 6 win win over the Golden State Warriors. LeBron led the way with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists, while AD chipped in 17 points and 20 rebounds. The Lakers now advance to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2020, when they also met the Denver Nuggets. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes react to Lakers' win over Warriors and Steve Kerr’s post game comments claiming Warriors are not a “championship team.”

The problem with Chris’ argument that Lebron “had AD” and curry didn’t have an equivalent is that he’d been saying the entire series that the Warriors were still the better team. If they are/were indeed the better overall team, then Lebron having AD should not factor in at all to whether Curry played a better series than Lebron or not. If anything, even with AD, Lebron matching Curry’s stats in the series should be more impressive since the Warriors were “the better “team”.
@madballer101

Agreed and then Chris turns around and says “give Curry AD and give LeBron Looney” No no buddy that isn’t how this work. It would be a complete team swap. Which means Steph no longer has Steve Kerr and that offense and has to be the type of leader he has never been asked to be. Had Curry been on the Lakers instead of LeBron, all these guys like Austin and Dennis would not have had any room to flourish. And if you give LeBron Klay and Poole you don’t think he would have them shooting the ball with confidence at a high clip? Not to mention Wiggins? Come on man.

It's amazing that LeBron is playing at such a high level with an injured foot, let along at the age he's at. The injury affects his whole power and jumping game. Had he not injured his foot late in the season, he would easily be putting up these numbers, plus an additional 10 points per game, and would be closer to 60% shooting against the small Warriors team.

Steph really is the most protected and coddled superstar in the league. I like Steph, top 12 player arguably top 10, but if Lebron took those two silly shots on AD and turned the ball over to cost his team the game in game 4, and then shot 11-28 in an elimination game where he got bounced, he would be EVICERATED by the media and fans.

These middle aged & older sports writers are doing their best to besmirch Lebron's legacy so that doesn't compare to something they all hold dear, Michael Jordan. Lebron's name is littered across so many NBA records its insane. I'm not saying he is or isn't , but it is what is driving so many pick against him at this age & stage of his career. Steph's been getting " everymans hero " pass for a few years.

My point is there’s been a lot of meltdowns in this post season alone, not sure if the guy who just won the chip last year, just put up a 50 piece in an elimination game in literally just the last series in a game 7 on the road is going to receive the most criticism. He had a chance to be the best player in the world, his offense wasn’t as good as ADs defense. That’s the conversation right there.

11-28 isn’t great but that’s respectable! How many uncontested shots did Curry get? How many uncontested shots did Lebron get. Curry creates open looks for his teammates but who creates open looks for him? Man won MVP and championship last year had a 50 piece in game 7 but when he falls off he’s coddled? Very few superstars are great all the time. Only basketball player who’s been close is Jordan! Let Steph be! 6’3” and dominant…shut up with that sh!t!

Birds production dipped his last 3 years bringing down his average. It’s a play on math to make a point. His last 2 series he averaged around 11-14 points 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ and 5 rebounds. It literally diminishes how good he actually was when you do this. Same with Shaq his career ppg is 23 and his last 6 years he had 1 season over 15 ppg.
