ecco is a city on the southeastern shore of Lake Como, in northern Italy. It’s surrounded by mountains like Monte Resegone, with trails for all levels, and the Piani d’Erna lookout point, accessed by cable car. Monte Barro Regional Park has paths, plus the remains of a 5th-century settlement and the Costa Perla birdwatching station. In the city center is the Basilica di San Nicolò, with its neo-Gothic bell tower.
Walking in Lecco Italy is a great base for day (or weekend) walking and cycling trips in the surrounding hills and mountain. Keen cyclists and ramblers can find challenging climbs in the mountains, but there are also plenty of softer routes for those wishing to take in the scenery.
Lecco is a small lakeside commune situated at the foothills of the Bergamo Alps in North Italy. It surrounds the eastern branch of the famous Lake Como and is just one hour from Milan. This lesser known area of Italy’s spectacular Northern Lakes offers charming architecture against a dramatic alpine backdrop, a rich cuisine and stunning lakeside.
