Lechon in the Philippines truly is a part of life for a lot of Filipinos! I have seen many roasted pigs during my adventures around this country, but never have I experienced a LECHON FESTIVAL!
Yes, on January 2nd in Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental, Mindanao... there was a lechon festival! They were celebrating the 78th founding anniversary of the Municipality and decided to have a "Lechon Cooking Contest". All 28 Barangays tried to cook their best roasted pig...
AND I GOT TO BE A PART OF THE JUDGING!!!!

Kulas, you are an amazing person. Thank you for loving the Philippines, the culture and the Filipinos. We are retired Fi-Americans & live in Riverside, CA. We spend most of our days watching you, FinnSnow, Daniel Marsh & Turquiose Sunsets. We don't even have to travel back to PHIL because of your shows. We originally came from Cebu City and miss the lechon and freshh chicharon there. More power to your shows.

Erik de la cruz We can't hide the fact that people are always gonna judge you no matter what you do or say. We can't expect everyone to like us. What is important is that we know that Kulas is a very good person and we love him 😊😊

There are a minority who hate foreigners though would hide it. They are called "CRABS" in case you need clarification, these crusty crustaceans will pinch both locals and foreigners. Usually it's their kababayans only but really, now even visitors are also within their radar of bitterness.

You are not sure if those thumbs down came from us Filipinos I do not think a Filipino will dislike him. Maybe some foreigners vloggers too who tried to do what Kulas is doing but can get going or maybe a Filipino vloggers who cant do what he does. Kulas dwells well with all the tribes not mostly done by any Filipino vbloggers.

you can't avoid that if your a star already you expect few bashers but lot of people loves you...this people who had envy on their hearts are loser lack of attention or kulang sa pansin nagpapapansin lang...This are not Filipinos they want that kulas will go to their country and do they same what kulas is doing here...even how beautiful a country if the people living on it have an animalistic and racist behavior it's useless...kulas work is hard to promote foreign country to him...but he never regret it here in the philippines because no money can buy the warm welcome the happiness and love he found in every tribe he visit here in philippines....God bless and take care...kulas

I remember when I subscribed, your channel only had a little over 1K subs. I'm glad your channel has grown more than 100 times over that. Cinematography is nicer with the drone footage in them as well. Who said nice guys always finish last? More success in 2018, Kulas!!! Super Apir!!!

Gosh! You pigged out! High blood definitely but Kyle, you put yourself into the judging so wholeheartedly! bibingka against all the fat of the lechon? I never knew that. Another reason to eat bibingka other than it's yummy. I like watching it being cooked, like pancakes in banana leaves. Jun Jun was funny mimicking the lechon, but so adorable with the piglet till he said he was taking care of next year's lechon! I guess he's OK coz he helped clean up and brought you bibingka. Nice mouth-watering tour of all the lechons, is that Finn doing his magic? I shouldn't have watched this video in the middle of the night. Now I want a snack I can't have.
